raw hair is the highest quality hair you can buy. it comes from a single donor and hasn't been chemically processed — no perms, no dyes, minimal heat if any. because the cuticle is intact and all runs in one direction, it stays soft, blends naturally, and resists the tangling and matting that processed hair is prone to.

all chroma hair is 100% raw human hair. that's why it can be washed, dyed, heat-styled, and worn again and again.

these three terms all point to quality — here's what each one means.

• virgin — unprocessed hair that hasn't been dyed, permed, or chemically treated, though it may come from more than one donor. our full wigs are built from virgin hair.
• remy — hair with the cuticle kept intact and all running in the same direction, which is what keeps it smooth and tangle-free. it can be lightly processed (for example, colored), so it's a step below raw but still high quality.

yes. because it's real, raw human hair, it can be washed, deep conditioned, and re-installed many times. with good care a unit is meant to last years, not weeks. how long depends on how well you care for it and how often you wear it — daily wear ages hair faster than occasional wear.

your hair arrives in its natural, unstyled state — all our product photos show the hair styled. so if it looks flatter or plainer out of the box, that's normal. that's your blank canvas. the glossy, styled look you saw is created after install.

yes — raw hair takes color beautifully because it hasn't been processed. our natural raw (1b) base lifts and dyes especially well. our blonde shades are already lightened, so treat those gently and condition well if you tone or color them. as with any color service, a professional gets you the safest result.

as hair gets longer, each weft holds less width — so longer lengths need more bundles for a full look. a good rule of thumb:

• 12"–16": 2 to 3 bundles.
• 18"–22": 3 bundles.
• 24" and longer: 4 or more bundles.

there's no single right way — the best install depends on your own natural hair. here are the most common approaches by hair type. if you're new to this, a professional stylist will get you the safest, most natural result.

thick, coarse, or coily hair
this texture gives you a strong base to work with. a traditional sew-in is the classic choice: cornrow your natural hair flat, then sew the wefts onto the braids with a curved needle and weaving thread. if you're leaving some hair out to blend, smooth it to match your bundle texture.

fine or thin hair
fine hair can't take heavy tension or glue, so gentler methods that spread the weight evenly are best — like beaded wefts (where wefts are secured to small beads in your hair) or clip-ins. keep your prep lightweight and skip heavy creams that can cause slipping.

relaxed or straight hair
this hair is versatile and blends easily. a partial sew-in (cornrow the base, leave a perimeter out to cover the tracks) gives a natural finish without daily heat. mold or cornrow the hair flat first so everything lays smooth.

curly natural hair
braid the hair down into a flat, secure base, and leave slightly larger gaps between weft rows so the install doesn't look bulky. double-wefting the back for fullness and single-wefting the top for a flatter lay works well, and pairing with a matching curly closure protects your hairline and saves you from blending leave-out every day.

yes. our raw human hair bundles can be washed, deep conditioned, and re-installed multiple times. keep them detangled, washed in the direction the hair falls, and fully dry before storing, and they'll be ready for the next install.

because they're raw human hair, our bundles are built to last — well over a year with proper care, and often longer. lifespan really comes down to maintenance: gentle washing, regular conditioning, low heat, and storing them clean and fully dry between installs. treat them like your own hair and they'll keep going.

yes — since it's real human hair, you can flat-iron, curl, and blow-dry your bundles just like your own. always use a heat protectant first and keep the temperature moderate to protect the hair over time. go gentler on our blonde shades, since lightened hair is more delicate.

a little movement at the weft can happen with wear, but you can keep it to a minimum: seal the wefts before installing, handle the hair gently, avoid over-brushing at the top of the weft, and use gentle products. if shedding ever feels excessive, check in with your stylist.

our wigs arrive with full hd lace, a pre-plucked hairline, bleached knots, and an adjustable/removable band for a glueless install. they're built at 200% density for fullness, and the hair arrives in its natural state so you can style it however you like.

hd stands for "high definition." it's an exceptionally fine, sheer lace that blends into your scalp and skin tone, creating the illusion that the hair is growing right from your head. it's what makes the hairline look hyper-realistic and melt seamlessly.

the numbers are inches, measured as width (ear to ear) by depth (front to back) — so the bigger the numbers, the more lace and the more parting room you get.

• 5x5 closure — a 5-by-5-inch lace square that covers the part area. easy to install, gives a clean part, and is the lowest-maintenance option.
• 13x4 frontal — spans ear to ear with 4 inches of parting depth. great for simple middle or side parts and everyday wear.
• 13x6 frontal — also ear to ear but with 6 inches of depth, so you get deeper parts and more room to style the hair back off your face.

• pre-plucked — the hairline is already thinned out with natural-looking baby hairs, so it doesn't look too dense or wig-like at the front. put the tweezers down.
• bleached knots — the tiny knots where each hair is tied to the lace are lightened so they disappear against the scalp instead of showing as little dark dots.

yes. our wigs come with combs and an adjustable/removable band for a secure glueless install. you can also glue along the lace if you prefer a longer-wear melt — just have someone who knows proper wig installation do it, and see the care guide for safe removal.

• go 13x4 if you want a standard, low-maintenance everyday wig, prefer simple middle or side parts, and want to spend a little less.
• go 13x6 if you love changing your hairstyle, want a deeper and more natural-looking part, or like to wear the hair pulled back off your face.

start with the adjustable/removable band, which tightens the cap to your head for a secure glueless fit. if a wig still feels too large — which can cause the lace to buckle or lift — you can sew the elastic band in from ear to ear, or make small "darts" (little folds) at the back of the cap to take in the extra material. a snug, comfortable fit is what keeps everything looking natural and staying put.

because it's raw human hair, our wigs are less prone to tangling and breakage, so they last longer than processed hair — years with good care, depending on how often you wear it and how well it's maintained and stored. daily wear will shorten that lifespan compared to occasional wear.

they're both lace hairpieces, but they cover different amounts.

• closure — smaller, covers the part area, and gives you a defined part. lower-maintenance and usually more affordable.
• frontal — extends ear to ear across the whole hairline, so you get many more styling options and can pull the hair back off your face.

it depends on the look you want. choose a closure if you like a simple part, want less upkeep, and want to spend a little less. choose a frontal if you want to switch up your part, wear the hair pulled back, or have the most styling freedom. both come on hd lace for a natural finish.

both give a natural hairline — the difference is finish vs. durability. hd lace is very fine and melts most invisibly into the skin, but it's delicate and takes a gentler hand (great once you're comfortable). transparent lace is a touch thicker and more durable, which makes it a more forgiving, low-maintenance option, especially for beginners.

• cocoa (4) — warm, dimensional chocolate brown.
• barbie blonde (613) — bright golden blonde.
• platinum (60) — cool, icy platinum blonde.
• honey (4/613) — chocolate base melting into blonde highlights.

the blondes. barbie blonde (613), platinum (60), and honey (4/613) are lightened to reach their color, so they're more delicate and ask for the most care — extra moisture, monthly toning, and heat protection. raw (1b) and cocoa (4) are the lowest-maintenance. none of it is hard; the blondes just want a little more love.

both are bright blondes — the difference is the undertone. barbie blonde (613) is a warm, golden blonde. platinum (60) is cooler and icier, without the gold. if you lean warm, go barbie blonde; if you want that cool, bright look, go platinum.

for a natural dark look, raw (1b) or cocoa (4) are your easiest pick — they read natural on most skin tones, wear well every day, and need the least upkeep. want warmth and dimension? cocoa. want a true natural-black base? raw.

and if your natural color is blonde, "natural" doesn't have to mean dark. barbie blonde (613) tones beautifully, so you (or your stylist) can take it to your own natural blonde shade for a look that's authentically yours.

bold is part color, part styling — so it depends on the look you're after. if you want a color statement, our blondes are the move, and barbie blonde (613) especially is like a blank canvas: it tones and dyes to almost any shade, so you can take it pastel, vivid, or fully custom. platinum (60) makes a cool, icy statement on its own, and honey (4/613) gives blonde dimension over a darker base if you want bold but a little softer.
